word stress
In English we often stress particular words to emphasise them. Sometimes the pronunciation changes.
E.g.
I didn't write that article yesterday. (Someone else did)
I didn't write that article yesterday. (I did not)
I didn't write that article yesterday. (I did something else with it)
I didn't write that article yesterday. (I wrote a different one)
I didn't write that article yesterday. (I wrote something else, maybe a part of it)
I didn't write that article yesterday. (I wrote it some other time)
Lauterbrunnen valley, in Switzerland, is the place to do it. (ðiː not ðə)
