Such as vs Like
Such as and like can be used interchangeably in most contexts, but there is a subtle difference.
Such as implies inclusion and tends to be used in more formal context. Like implies similarity and is used more in spoken English.
E.g.
I have visited many cities, such as Paris and Rome -He visitado muchas ciudades, (tales) como Roma y París (incluyendo Roma y París)
I have visited many cities like Paris and Rome- He visitado muchas ciudades como (parecidas a) Roma y París (quizá nunca haya estado en París)
